The 13th Homeless event on Wednesday 29 May transformed the RNA Show grounds into a one-stop shop for people who are experiencing homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless.
More than 200 volunteers helped Council, the Salvation Army and other agencies to provide a range of free services on the day. The services and supplies on offer include everything from medical and legal consultations to accommodation referrals, clothing haircuts, food and entertainment.
The project has helped more than 9600 people since Brisbane hosted the first Australian Homeless Connect in 2006. Similar events are now held in other cities around the country including Perth, Hobart, Adelaide and the Gold Coast..
