Tea and Beer Pairing with May King and Matt Kirkegaard to be accompanied by scrumptious dishes from Gerard’s Bistro

May King Tsang of May King Tea and Matt Kirkegaard, a Brisbane-based writer and independent beer educator will discuss how tea & beer are perfect companions
May King and Matt will each present 3 different types of teas and beer. With each beverage Chef Ben Williamson of Gerard’s Bistro will create a dish to match

Truffles

 

Truffle connoisseur, Amanda Reboul – The Truffle Lady, takes us on a journey into the mysterious world of subterranean Ascomycete.
Champagne Canard-Duchene will be served on the night with food created by Chef Ben Williamson of Gerard’s Bistro

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tea_Moments

Thursday 8th August

This popular event with May King Tea and Chef Ben Williamson from Gerard’s Bistro is back again for the James St. Food Trail!
Join us for a night of tea and food pairing with May King Tsang, a Tea Note Speaker, the only Specialty Tea Institute’s certified speaker in Australia and Head Chef Ben Williamson of Gerard’s Bistro.
With an extensive knowledge of all things tea, May King Tsang will share her insights into the world of this popular beverage while Chef Ben Williamson will match these with his modern take on Middle Eastern food…

Saturday 10th August

 

Chef Shinichi Maeda and Sake Sommelier Miriam Gibson (of Sake Restaurant & Bar, Eagle St Pier, Brisbane) will conduct 2 master classes on sake & food pairing.

MoVida chef & owner Frank Camorra will be in store for a chat and book signing.
